ScreenBeam announced a new wireless sharing system dubbed the ScreenBeam FLEX. ScreenBeam FLEX enables native wireless presentation from any operating system without special software or drivers. The company says the FLEX is aimed at SMB and higher education customers and includes a built-in HTML 5.0 digital signage player, interactive flat panel support for wireless inking and annotation and ScreenBeam’s Multi-Network architecture. Just connect the receiver to the network (wired, wireless, or both) and display and access wireless screen sharing, extended desktop, inking and touch, Multi-view and more.

ScreenBeam’s integrated Digital Signage Player is free with the FLEX receiver – including the ability to play HTML5.0 content.

The FLEX is also upgradeable to advanced features, allowing deployment of only the features users require, including:

• Video conference support for room peripherals
• Room Calendaring
• Multi-Beam, allowing content mirroring to additional receivers
• Native whiteboarding (requires touch-capable display)

ScreenBeam says the FLEX also includes an integrated CMS (central management system ) for large-scale device deployment and management for free. Alternatively, a web browser can manage the Flex receiver locally through a Local Management Interface (LMI). ScreenBeam FLEX is available in the US and EMEA, starting in February.
