The Neutrik Group, Schaan, Liechtenstein; 11 October 2023. Innovative, industry-leading solutions to be seen on the Neutrik Group stand J1 at EDS 2023 include both point-to-point high speed, high capacity, and expanded beam fiber optic connectivity solutions, compliant with MIL-DTL-83526 standard; together with the latest international safety standards compliant power connectors, fulfilling the requirements of the European Economic Area Low Voltage Directive (LVD). Also being shown this year is the CONTRIK range of all-weather, high-safety, rugged power distribution systems.

The latest additions to the NEUTRIK opticalCON ADVANCED series are two MTP high-speed, high-data capacity connectivity systems: the single-mode MTP16 and multimode MTP48, providing 16 and 48 data channels in a single cable, respectively. These offer standard point-to-point media and data connectivity solutions, characterized by robust all-metal housing and heavy-duty strain relief, and providing for rapid setup and immediate playback, high reliability, and cost optimization per single fiber/data channel.

In the latest addition to its fiber portfolio, NEUTRIK is introducing a ruggedized development of its FIBERFOX HMA expanded beam multimode fiber-optic connector system with the 2- and 4-channel EBC25 and X-TREME EBC25. The EBC25 chassis is a jam-nut design, intended to meet a vast array of network, audio, video, lighting, and broadcast applications in all manner of industrial, defense, and civil engineering environments; wherever consistent levels of performance and reliability are mission-critical. EBC25 series has an improved temperature resistance of -46°C to 71°C, and the connector’s dimensions are fully compliant with the specifications of the MIL-DTL-83526 standard, making it compatible with other connectors using that standard. X-TREME EBC25 additionally offers a cut-proof, rodent-resistant double jacket glasses yarn cable construction. Exceptional cable retention is achieved using aramid yarn, with the entire cable design encased by a black PUR outer jacket, making the cable assembly ideal for outdoor applications, and able to withstand greater environmental impact. X-TREME EBC25 cable connectors come pre-assembled, with the finished cable available in standardized lengths, packed either on a drum or air spool.

New powerCON FXX series (blue/grey) and powerCON TRUE1-TOP series power connectors are among the world’s first to be certified to the latest IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60320-1 international safety standards; featuring Circuit Breaking Capacity and discrete power-in and power-out keying, preventing intermating of power cables. The certified powerCON TRUE1-TOP (True Outdoor Protection) connectors are specified and engineered for outdoor application environments. These will also be available in Q4/2023 in cable assemblies. NEUTRIK is the only brand with EN 60320-1 certified connectors for indoor and outdoor use that can be used for outer cable diameters from 6 to 16 mm and conductor cross-sections from 1.5 to 2.5 mm².

The new cable connectors ideally complement the robust power distribution and earthing systems from CONTRIK, designed and manufactured within the EU to meet particular robust and exacting requirements of mobile event applications. The latest Xtreme outdoor (XO) application environment Power Turtle and Power Strip distribution systems feature extraordinary levels of environmental immunity while Xtreme indoor (X) series systems provide high-impact resistant compact designs. IK10+, IP65 and UL94 V2 protection are standard to both product types, as is I/O connectivity via TRUE1 TOP with self-closing protective caps, and optional CEE connection. Power measurement via a power meter with the display is integrated into both a new Power Turtle XO and a Power Strip XO. ‘Active’ versions of Power CONTRIK power distribution products prevent overcurrent with integrated circuit breakers.
