Extron promoted Rob Reconnu to director of technical services — network technologies. Rob has held a leadership role within Extron’s Network Technologies Support Group which brings together a team of senior network and AV engineers that specialize in AV-over-IP and Enterprise Network Support. With multiple high-level certifications under his belt, including a CCIE Certification from Cisco, Rob and his team assist customers from pre-sales conceptual design to post-sale commissioning, ensuring Extron customers are 100% satisfied with their AV-over-IP deployments.

The Extron Network Technologies Support Group consists of expert network engineers with multiple decades of experience who have overseen thousands of deployments. This highly qualified team was assembled with a single, yet demanding goal: Make every NAV deployment an unqualified success. In his new leadership role, Rob will ensure this goal continues to be fulfilled.

“Rob’s extensive background with network technology and in-depth working knowledge of our NAV Pro AV over IP systems make him the ideal choice for this leadership position,” says Casey Hall, chief marketing officer at Extron. “Under Rob’s direction, our Network Technologies Support Group will continue to excel in their efforts to make every customer install an uncompromised success.”

Rob has over 30 years of IT and Networking experience. Out of the Navy, Rob went straight into IT as a Network Engineer. He spent 19 years at Cisco in various roles managing IT infrastructure as well as their technical support organization. Prior to joining Extron, Rob was the network manager for Seattle Children’s Hospital where he oversaw the convergence of their voice and networking teams and a complete overhaul of their network infrastructure.
